Polyfin Canggih is an extensive fully integrated polyester polymerization chips and yarns manufacturing facility based in Bandung, the capital city in Indonesia's fast growing textile industry.
The plant features continuous production of polyester polymer using Pure Terephthalic Acid (PTA) and Ethylene Glycol (EG). PT. Polyfin Canggih has the largest capacity in Indonesia for a single plant of its type and as one of the largest DTY producers in Indonesia. The Company's take up facilities for producing fully drawn yarn (FDY) is seven times larger than those at any other plant in Indonesia.
Fully self-sufficient in electrical power, the plant already represents one of Indonesia's largest polyester production facilities with an annual capacity of 87.600 tons in either chips or yarn.
In PT. Polyfin Canggih, commitment to product quality is a high priority. We affirm this working orientation to our employees all the time. It goes without saying that consistent high quality product has to be supported by a proper and responsible management.
To set the objective standard in product quality and its' management, we have to meet the requirements for international recognition for this matter, and that we manage to achieve it. Our company is already ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001-certified which means that our product quality and the management systems are accepted worldwide for their high accomplishment. Other international standard that has been met by Polyfin Canggih is that to do with environment care. We notice and understand the growing concern everywhere over the relationship between the industrial processes and its' effects to the environment. We take this seriously. For this matter, we guarantee that all of our products are environment-friendly. They are Oeko-Tex Standard 100 certified.
It also with the same reason we realize that resource is never limitless. With that in mind, we foster the most optimal and efficient use of all materials involved in the production process and along the management line in general. In PT. Polyfin Canggih, it is applied by the promotion of 3R principal; Reuse, Recycle, and Reduce.
Reuse means used materials (include those involved in the management process), which retain potentials for the same usage would be use again. With Recycle, we mean that we encourage the reprocessing of everything we have used so that they can be used again. While Reduce, it means the minimal or most efficient use to anything that is involved in the production and management processes.

About Us

 Future Direction. PT. Polyfin Canggih will continue to strengthen its position in international and local markets in supplying both polyester chips and yarns. Increasingly, polyester staple fibre is being blended with wool, cotton, or rayon and generally, a blend of more than 50 percent polyester brings out the best qualities of the cloth.

The company is planning to diversify its product range to include staple fibre - for garments, permanent press wear, and in carpet manufacture. Fibrefill for quilting pillows is another new product for the future of the company. Both products have good prospects in the fast growing domestic market as well as overseas. The product diversification also covers the production of yarns with special quality, such as conjugate / bi-component yarn (like Sea-Island, Orange type), super micro up to 0.2 dpf, and special application yarn (anti bacteria, uv protection, flame retardant).

Polyfin Canggih comprise people who previously have gained experience and expertness in the field of textile manufacturing. They especially have obtained hands-on experience in the partnering textile industry, PT. Artostex.

It is made to continue to be part of human capital practice. New employees are to go through apprenticeship for several months in PT. Artostex, with the purpose that they eventually would internalize the importance and role of basic processes and raw materials important for producing high quality textile products.

In addition to the internal education, PT. Polyfin Canggih also sent its selected employees to pursue higher education abroad. Today, they are not only capable of dealing with technical challenges within the company. Now, they can even play the role as supporting engineers at other companies who use Polyfin's products, taking care of machines setup, training for operations, and maintenance.
As the products of Polyfin Canggih are raw materials for all textile industries using polyester, all textile industry in the world are basically potential market for Polyfin Canggih. In fact, so far the company has supplied both domestic and abroad market.
With the existing high quality specification of products, Polyfin Canggih has been able to fulfil various needs for textile production.

The reputation has been earned since 1987, when PT. Artostex was the first Indonesian textile company to be represented in the world textile exhibition in Germany, Interstoff.

At the moment, the company was one of top five in terms of export sales into Europe as a whole.
About 65% of production is exported to overseas countries. Market for Europe including spain, Italy and U.K. Is the largest market for the company, followed by china, Vietnam, U.S, Brazil, Korea and others part of the World. About 35% of production is shipped to the domestic market.

Polyfin has been carrying out marketing in Europe including Poland, through two sole agents. Namely one agent in the U.K. who covers for U.K. territory including Ireland, and another agent in Italy who cover the whole European region (except the U.K) and has structures sales networks by cooperating with agents in major European countries.
We realize that success has to be achieved through partnership with other parties. As long as the company's path to the present, we always open our self for cooperation and consciously create the atmosphere conducive for mutual benefit in the relationship.
Until today we have been enjoying healthy and mutually productive relationship with our partners. As it has been enduring for quite some time, we have seen that loyalty is not something that just comes about and to be taken for granted. Loyalty has to be created partner and we have done it well.

Technology

TECHNOLOGY - MACHINE
The technology applied in Polyfin Canggih, both in the main plant and another 12 auxiliary support operations, is the very latest of its kind for its design and chemical engineering. They are required for advanced polyester polycondensation manufacturing. Modern engineering design ensures not only an efficient and reliable production process and uniform product quality, but also low fuel consumption and a degree of recycling for selected raw materials and energy.

Thanks to our skilful and experienced engineers, all of the applied technologies are in constant maintenance and supervision, ensuring that the whole chains of production process result in the best possible polyester chips and yarn.

Polyfin Canggih can produce up to 240 tons of polyester chips or yarn in one day - the largest design capacity for a single plant in Indonesia.

Over 5 big reactors and 20 vessels are utilized in a continuous polycondensation process supported by infrastructure in the form of auxiliary plants delivering compressed air, soft and demineralised water, refrigeration, nitrogen, and power among others. The entire facility incorporates the very latest technology from the world leader in design and chemical engineering, Lurgi Zimmer AG of Germany.

The plant has thousand of microprocessors throughout the chip and yarn production areas. All of them are linked to a master control room facility, which allows scrutiny of all processes through several screen levels of detail.
Extensive laboratory tests are carried out at every stage of the manufacturing processes. PT. Polyfin Canggih features numerous different chemical and physical tests to maintain quality at the highest standards. Process tests are also conducted to ensure production is both timely and efficient.

The quality control for both chips and yarn manufacturing process is part of company's commitment to excellent product quality. The polyester chips produced by PT. Polyfin Canggih are of "A" grade and the yarn is of word-class quality, meeting the requirement of high uniformity, excellent evenness, good dye uniformity, and a very high standard of tenacity.

Polyester POY is also known as Polyester Pre-Oriented Yarn, It is the first form of yarn made directly from PTA & MEG or produced by drawing polymer melt through spinneret blocks into filament. POY is a raw material mainly used in process texturizing to produce textured yarn as Drawn Textured Yarn (DTY).

Polyester POY yarn is mainly available in Raw White color & is also available in various different colors. POY is usually colored by the Dope Dyed technology and can be used to make the Dope Dyed DTY yarn. POY can also be used in draw warping for weaving and warp knitting of fabrics.

Spin Draw Yarn (SDY), Polyester Filament Yarn (PFY) or Polyester Fully Drawn Yarn (FDY). It is mainly used as weft or weaves without further processing for used in Home Furnishing Fabrics, Fashion Fabrics and others, or directly used for knitted or woven with any other filament yarn to get fabric of various different varieties.

Polyester POY that has been stretched, twisted and drawn with simultaneously or it undergoes further processing for dyeing, covering beaming or twisting. DTY yarn is mainly used in weaving & knitting of fabrics for making clothes, home furnishings, seat covers, bags and many other uses.

Technical properties of DTY yarn with different heating techniques can be used to make the yarn set for specific use, 1 (one) Heater DTY is normally woolly & more stretchable as compared to DTY with 2 (two) Heater.

DTY yarn can be made with several combinations of Intermingle or Interlaced points - it can be Non-Intermingle or Soft-Intermingle or High-Intermingle.
